Many people are embarrassed if caught farting, because the problem perkentutan often rated one of the side of ethics and decency. But do not underestimate the fart, because people can die just because can not remove the gas from the body.

In the normal frequency, farting is a healthy thing because it signifies the digestive system in particular until the anus bowel peristalsis walk normally.

When the frequency is excessive, it indicates a disturbance in the stomach. But worse and can be life threatening is when people can not remove the gas from inside her body aka can not fart.

The inability of the body out of gas or gas from the body can be life-threatening condition because it is caused by peritonitis. Peritonitis is an inflammation (irritation) of the peritoneum, the thin tissue that lines the inner abdominal wall and covers most abdominal organs.

Reporting from Medlineplus, Wednesday (09/15/2010), symptoms of peritonitis in general are as follows:
Belly (abdomen) is very sick, bloating and sometimes mushy. The pain will worsen when the stomach is touched or moved.
The inability of gas or gas released from the body
Fever and chills
There is fluid in the abdomen
Constipation
Excessive Fatigue
Few urination
Nausea and vomiting

Peritonitis can be life threatening and can cause several different complications. There are three types of peritonitis, which is as follows:

1. Spontaneous peritonitis
Spontaneous peritonitis usually caused by infection ascitesascites, namely the collection of fluid in the peritoneal cavity. This usually occurs because of liver or kidney failure.

Risk factors include heart disease patients including those who mengosumsi excessive alcohol and other diseases leading to cirrhosis, such as chronic viral hepatitis (hepatitis B or hepatitis C).

2. Secondary peritonitis
Secondary peritonitis has several major causes, one due to bacteria. Bacteria can enter the peritoneum through a hole (perforation) in the gastrointestinal tract. The hole can be caused by a ruptured appendix, stomach ulcers, intestinal perforation, or injury, such as gunshot or knife wounds.

Secondary peritonitis can also occur if the bile or chemicals released by the pancreas (pancreatic enzymes) leak into the lining of the abdominal cavity.

Foreign contaminants can also cause secondary peritonitis if entry into the peritoneal cavity. This can occur during use of peritoneal dialysis catheters or feeding tubes.

3. Peritonitis dialysis
Dialysis Peritonitis is inflammation of the lining of the abdominal cavity (peritoneum), which occurs when a person receiving peritoneal dialysis, which is caused by bacteria that enter the region on the dialysis procedure. Skin bacteria or fungus can cause infection.

The cause of peritonitis should be identified and treated promptly. If you experience these symptoms, immediately contact a doctor or hospital, because this condition can be very dangerous and life threatening. Treatment usually involves surgery and antibiotics.
